Magical March!
Hey Guys! I hope everyone is having a lovely March so far. It has been a very exciting month for me and I am feeling EXTREMELY happy right now! I'll fill you in on the past week. It started off on a great note, I got asked to audition for something in New York so I started to work towards the goal. You know how sometimes things just "flow" and feel really right? This audition very much feels that way so I have my fingers crossed and HOPE it is right for me! I had a vocal lesson last week with with Rachael Lawrence... another great one! She helped me out a lot for my audition (Thank you!) I am so happy to be involved in the Myspace "If I Can Dream" competition... I can't believe I am in the #1 spot! It's all thanks to you guys, I wouldn't be where I am without you! I'm not sure when they announce who the editors choice is to move into the house but I hope soon! Mum and I have been here for a WHOLE month now, times flies by so so quickly here it's almost unreal. Last week, Thursday night, we went to the movie premiere of "SPUD". It was so inspirational and all of the work done was so moving. Most of the people involved in creating the movie had developmental disabilities and it was just so amazing to see their hard work and love for what they were doing. It was a perfect night and I had my first PINK'S hotdog :) OH and on the way out I met Danielynn (Anna Nicole Smith's daughter) and Larry Birkhead (Danielynn's daddy). SUCH a cute little girl! Friday morning when I went to the gym I met a man that completely changed my day. I was running on the treadmill and after about 30 seconds gave up. He however got onto the elliptical machine and started pedaling along. I noticed he only had one leg, the other was fake from his thigh down. I got very emotional because it made me realize that sometimes people in general give up not because they aren't capable but because they let their mind do ALL the talking. Your mind can be so powerful but it usually underestimates what your truly capable of. I ended up running 4 miles after I had seen that man and his determination. I walked up to him after my run and said to him "I just want to thank you from my heart, you inspired me more than you could ever know." I've been trying very hard since that day to not say "I can't do this or that" or give up on things I KNOW I shouldn't be giving up on. Over-all in was just a very emotionally/inspiring week! Yesterday as most of you know it was the OSCARS! I love them so much and get really excited about them, this was my first time to be in LA while they were taking place though. We were driving right next to Hollywood Blvd. earlier in the day and ended up seeing Kate (From Kate Plus 8) Which was funny, you can always spot out her CRAZY spiky hair. We bought some little finger foods and had a lovely night! I am really sad that AVATAR didn't win every award possible because that was BY FAR the best movie ever. So this brings you to right here, right now! I'm sitting on the couch but i'm about to get ready for the gym. Today isn't too hectic which is nice we do have a dinner meeting though at 7pm. We are going to REAL FOODS DAILY which is probably my favorite place to eat here so I'm excited for that :) I can't wait to write to you all again and let you know whats going on, as for now I hope you have a WONDERFUL monday and start to this week.
