Ok so here we are at 5th of November and it is going to be busy!!!!
I had a lesson with Dean Kalin today, one of the top level speech level singing instructors who came to visit Austin. He trained David Archuleta. It went really well and he seemed pleased with me. I love SLS it is such a simple way of training but so effective and has made a lot of difference to my singing ability. They have teachers in most cities now. So what do we have in November -
Well November 19th the Mayor of Austin is going to proclaim it Georgia Napolitano Day, so i have to go to City Hall, sing a song and be presented with the official proclaimation...... Wow this is just increbible, i feel so very honored. They are going to show it on channel 6 on cable TV in Austin so i must set the TV player to record it.
November 6th i am on KXAN at 8am in the morning, promoting JamFest which takes place at The Belmont on 6th Street on November 14th. There will be 7 other bands playing and it is to raise money for the Eaines Education. Tickets are on sale now at Frontgatetickets.com and they are only $7, so please come and support this wonderful cause. I will be singing around 6pm.
So Jamfest as i mentioned above is November 14th
November 15th i am at the Long Center as the MC along with Josh Hicks for the 2nd Youthcast event. If you all remember i won the first one back in May.
It is put on by the Austin School of the Performing and Visual Arts, and they are opening the school in August 2010, so that will be very exciting for Austin.
I am slightly saddened to be handing over that wonderful silver cup but will know in my heart that it is going onto a wonderful musician that is truly deserving of their
name being engraved on the cup also. I will be performing one song, which is nice and i look forward to meeting all the contestants and making them feel at ease.
November 21st - Paradise on 6th street
The band and I are very excited to be performing for the first time on 6th street, it is on the night when UT play at home so fingers crossed everyone will be on 6th street in celebration. We are upstairs at the Paradise on 6th and Trinity and we start at 10pm. The Paradise has just completed an amazing balcony all around the upstairs bar so there is plenty of room to have fun and dance the night away. Hope to see many of you there.
