Atherton Pictures to Shoot Music Video
AUSTIN, TX (April 19, 2010) – Atherton Pictures will shoot a music video this week featuring up and coming singer Georgia Napolitano for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. The Austin chapter of JDRF has hired Atherton Pictures for the second consecutive year to produce the “Fund A Cure” video for its annual Hope Ball.
Austin composer, Tim Bushong, wrote and orchestrated the song "Just Imagine" that Napolitano will record at 501 Audio. Atherton Pictures' Director of Photography, Jerry Jacob, is coming to Austin from the company's New Orleans office to DP and co-direct with producer Carolyn Krawczyk.
In addition to Napolitano, the video will feature several Austin area children who have type 1 diabetes. The Hope Ball is JDRF's biggest fundraiser with proceeds going to help find a cure for type 1 diabetes and its complications through the support of research.
Locations will include 501 Audio, a beach scene and a cabin in western Travis County.
JDRF is the leading charitable funder and advocate of type 1 (juvenile) diabetes worldwide. Since its founding in 1970 by parents of children with type 1 diabetes, JDRF has awarded more than $1.3 billion in direct funding to research, including $156 million in fiscal year 2008.
